About

The Market at 7th Street (Market) is a non-profit corporation, holds the distinction of being North Carolina’s 1st food hall and recently, 2026 recipient of USA Today’s Reader’s Choice, Top Ten Food Halls in America award. We are committed to helping small businesses owned by qualified entrepreneurs in the food, beverage and retail sectors through subsidized spaces, progressive rent, and continuing business incubation support.

Our focus on local emerging chefs, restaurateurs, makers, and retailers has set the table for this authentic, diverse gathering place where all are welcome is a foundational value. Beyond our licensed spaces, the Market at 7th Street is committed to creating additional revenue opportunities for locally owned and operated small businesses through our “Pop-Up Markets”, as well as our annual 9 week small business development curriculum HIIVE (Hub for Inclusivity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship).

Charlotte has always been a city of industry and ingenuity. The Market at 7th Street puts that ingenuity on display for all to share in. As a non-profit incubator, emerging chefs, restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, artisans, and makers all have the chance to be part of this tradition and start their dreams in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. And as a market, anyone can be lucky and get to partake in all the beauty and deliciousness that these dreamers produce along the way.

This gathering is located Uptown at the base of the 7th Street light rail station and the 7th Street stop for the Lynx Blue Line, making it accessible from anywhere in the Queen City. Just a short walk from all the attractions that give Uptown its exciting flavor, like ImaginOn, Discovery Place, First Ward Park, the Spectrum Center, and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, The Market at 7th Street is its own city center for Uptown pride, Charlotte, and beyond. Ringing that bell into the future, all week long. What are you waiting for? The Market is calling you.
